About Rick 😊

Meet our “Main-e-ack”! But only because he is originally from the great state of Maine. Rick was born into a military family, so he is no stranger to the whole moving process. In fact, he lived in eight different states before moving away to attend college. His father’s military career forced Rick to master the art of making new friends at a very early age.

Rick is a prime example of a relationship type salesperson who is committed to his customer’s success. Taking pride in getting to know and understand his client’s needs, wants and dreams is critical to him. And he is not afraid to take ownership in helping them accomplish their goals.

Rick has lived here in Pinellas county, FL since 1981 and has lots of knowledge of our wonderful Suncoast. He has had a very successful sales career. Starting out in music retail where he was convinced by one of his regular customers to give Electronic Distribution a try. There, he sold PC-Board level components to the “design geeks” behind the curtains at well-known companies. Once again, his largest customer soon grabbed him up, promoted him up the ladder, and quickly made him their National Sales Manager. Rick’s next step up came as a Global Key Account Manager overseeing one of “Velcro's” top world-wide customers. You can only imagine his negociation skills.

Although Rick has enjoyed a great sales career, he will quickly admit that his favorite gig was that of a “Chart Reporter” for Billboard Magazine. Yes, he was one of the few that actually decided where the artist ranked on Billboard’s weekly top 100 charts. He hung out with the stars and went to more concerts and back-stage greetings than you can count. However, it was his lifelong interest and love for real estate that eventually brought Rick to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. And you will be glad he did!

Rick’s given name is Richard, but people have tagged him with several nicknames over the years. i.e., Rick, Rich, Ricky, RG and Boomer but his family and closest friends call him “Tricky”. Guessing, he may be a fan of practical jokes.
